Yellofox, modern Americana
from The Netherlands

Yellofox is preparing to hit the road for their 2025 U.S. tour, bringing a fresh take on Americana. They capture the spirit of a road trip across the U.S. with a trunk full of dreams and ideals—that’s the essence of Yellofox.

Live, they deliver an unforgettable experience: a performance rich with storytelling, groove and energy. Their melodies and harmonies evoke the iconic American f
olk-rock bands of the 1970s. With a distinctive blend of cello, violin, mandolin, and guitar, Yellofox is defined by the layered vocals of singer/guitarist Marc Mosmans, singer/cellist Jorieke de Vet, and her sister, singer/violinist Pauline de Vet. Together, they craft something truly one-of-a-kind.

Their sound draws from the classic songwriters of the 60s and 70s—Paul Simon, Gram Parsons, Jackson Browne, Nick Drake—while also incorporating contemporary influences like Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Eels, The Barr Brothers, and Fleet Foxes.

For the Dreamers isn’t just the title of their latest album; it reflects the themes woven throughout their music—doubt, happiness, longing, dreams, and ambitions. The press praised the album as "an ode to melancholic dreamers, idealists, and lovers of life."

Released in 2023, For the Dreamers followed their debut album, Tomorrow Will Be Gone, It’s Sad To Know, But This Is Today (2020).
After an extensive tour, Yellofox is now working with producer Martijn Groeneveld (Blaudzun, Tangarine) on their third album, with the first singles expected in spring 2025.

Yellofox has a large six-member band in the Netherlands, but in this special trio formation, they will be touring across America in May 2025, visiting the states of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Nevada.

Reviews

Heaven Magazine, Album of the week 42
“With For The Dreamers, the Hague-based band Yellofox delivers a second album filled with beautiful, tasteful folk pop. The way the band establishes its own identity while undeniably incorporating West Coast influences is impressive. By focusing primarily on exquisite melodic songs, Yellofox is a valuable addition to the Dutch Americana scene.”

Music Maker Magazine
“I know exactly why I fell in love with this album by Yellofox… The late summer is in full swing, and this is the soundtrack.”

3voor12
“This is different; this is not what you know, well, typically. This is music for today, rooted in seventies Americana like Gram Parsons and Jackson Browne, with an Appalachian twang.”
